瑞典卡罗林斯卡医学院博士后职位---时间生物学和新陈代谢

Research assistant in Chronobiology and Metabolism

Karolinska Institute Stockholm

Description

Do you want to contribute to top quality medical research?

Within our research group you will find a unique opportunity to work closely together with cutting edge researchers in the intersection between chronobiology, epigenetics and metabolism. We offer an engaging and international research environment where you may contribute to high quality research on an internationally competitive level.

Your mission

We are looking for a highly motivated research assistant to The Petrus lab. You will be part of an expanding inter-disciplinary team studying circadian rhythms at the intersect between mental- and metabolic- health. Our goal is to identify circadian processes that are involved in the pathophysiology of metabolic- and mental comorbidity. This will be achieved by utilizing existing biobanks of samples and existing datasets to identify candidate factors to study functionally in vitro and in vivo. Your specific duties will be:

  Bioinformatic analyses of existing omics datasets

  Perform in vitro experiments such as pharmacological treatments or genetic manipulation.

  Isolate RNA and protein from tissues/cells and perform downstream analyses such as qPCR and Western blots.

  Metabolic phenotyping using various techniques such as the Seahorse XF technology.

Your profile

We are searching for a Research assistant with a background in molecular biology, nutrition or similar and the following experience:

  Documented ability to conduct research within the area of epigenetics, metabolism and/or chronobiology.

  Basic bioinformatic skills using R.

  Experience in working with cell lines such as 3T3-L1 cells and C2C12 cells using pharmacological treatments, siRNA and/or CRISPR/Cas9.

  Perform standard wet lab techniques such as qPCR and Western blots as well as more specialized techniques for metabolic assessments such as the Seahorse XF system.
