Dr. Hannah Rae Thomas is a 100 Talents Young Professor in the College of Agriculture and Biotechnology at Zhejiang University. She conducts her research within the Institute of Vegetable Science. She received her PhD in Plant Biology from Cornell University in the USA and conducted her postdoctoral work at the John Innes Centre in the United Kingdom. She has published works in top international journals (The Plant Cell, New Phytologist, Horticulture Research, The Journal of Experimental Botany, etc.), her work has been featured in Science, and she is involved in several international collaborations.

Hannah Rae’s research focuses on elucidating the molecular mechanisms that drive the ancient horticultural technique, plant grafting. In collaboration with Prof. Yanhong Zhou from the Institute of Vegetable Science, Hannah Rae’s current project focuses on understanding how environmental signals influence graft compatibility and how grafting can be leveraged to improve horticultural traits. We are recruiting postdocs for this on-going project, which covers a diverse range of techniques such as molecular biology, genetics, microscopy, and data analysis. The requirements for the candidates are as follows:

1. Have a PhD in plant biology or a closely related field with advanced molecular biology experience. Candidates with experience in microscopy or grafting will be given greater consideration.

2. Have good health, no older than 35 years old, and have high English proficiency.

3. Have a good publication history, and preference will be given to candidates holding a doctoral degree from a domestic key university, domestic high-level discipline, or top overseas universities.

4. Willing to work in a bi-lingual research environment, assist team members, and help to mentor younger students.Application Procedure

汉娜博士，浙江大学农业与生物技术学院蔬菜研究所“百人计划”研究员。美国康奈尔大学获博士学位，英国约翰-英纳斯中心博士后。在国际顶级期刊（The Plant Cell、New Phytologist、Horticulture Research、The Journal of Experimental Botany等）上发表多篇SCI论文，参与多项国际合作研究，其研究成果曾被《科学》杂志报道。

汉娜的主要研究方向为植物嫁接的分子机制。目前正与蔬菜研究所周艳虹教授团队合作，研究环境信号如何影响嫁接亲和性及分子机理，以及如何利用嫁接来改善园艺性状。因课题需要，现招聘博士后研究人员2-3名。要求如下。

1. 拥有植物生物学或密切相关领域的博士学位，并具有高级分子生物学经验。有显微镜使用和植物嫁接经验的候选人优先。

2. 身体健康，年龄不超过 35 岁，具有较好的英语水平。

3. 具有优秀的论文发表经历，拥有国内重点大学、国内高水平学科或海外一流大学博士学位者优先。

4. 具备在在英汉双语环境中工作的能力，协助课题组长，帮助指导学生。
