美国阿肯色医科大学(UAMS)博士后职位—儿童血液肿瘤学
University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS)
A postdoctoral position is available to the recent PhD graduates (under 2 yrs. of postdoctoral experience only) in the cancer epigenetics laboratory at the Arkansas Children’s Research Institute (ACRI) and Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute (WPRCI), renowned multidisciplinary research institutes in Arkansas. The candidate will be affiliated with the Department of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. The laboratory focuses on determining the (1) epigenetic regulatory mechanisms of transcriptional dysregulation in both the pediatric and adult course of Acute Myeloid Leukemia, (2) epigenetic reprogramming of myeloid differentiation on OMICS level, and (3) CRISPR based epigenetic interventions in in vitro and in vivo model systems.
The postdoctoral candidate will work as a part of an interdisciplinary and translational team, with access to state-of-the-art facilities and resources to carry out both clinical and basic science studies. Using a wide range of established animal models and cell lines, we aim to understand how epigenetic alterations in chromatin and DNA regulates control gene dysfunction and leukemogenesis.
Job requirements:
PhD in Molecular Biology, Genomics, Biochemistry, or any closely related field. Experience in cancer epigenetics is desired not required.
The candidate is expected to have excellent skillset in performing molecular and cell-biology based research including the design, implementation, analysis, and interpretation of laboratory experiments.
Be expected to publish data in top scientific journals and assist the supervisor in grant preparation.
Experience with mammalian cell culture and handling animals (mice/rat).
Excellent verbal and written communication skill.
