Research Associate in Partial Differential Equations (Fixed Term)

Applications are invited for a Research Associate post in Partial Differential Equations (PDEs). The post is available for one year commencing 15 September 2022. The appointment will be made at an appropriate point on the University's Grade 7 Research Associate scale.
This post is associated with the ERC Grant 'Mathematical Frontiers in the Analysis of Many-particle Systems' (MAFRAN)', and priority will be given to applicants with expertise in relevant or connected fields within Partial Differential Equations.
The successful candidate will normally have a PhD prior to their appointment and have demonstrated a capacity to produce world-class research. Duties will include developing and conducting individual and collaborative research objectives, proposals and projects. The role holder will be expected to plan and manage their own research and administration, with guidance if required, and to assist in the preparation of proposals and applications to external bodies. You must be able to communicate material of a technical nature and be able to build internal and external contacts. You may be asked to assist in the supervision of student projects, including supporting the development of student research skills, provide instruction or plan/deliver seminars relating to your research area.
