Position Summary

The Ngo laboratory at the Department of Systems Biology, City of Hope is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to lead a federally funded project in lymphoma and immunotherapy. Our laboratory studies molecular mechanisms and identifies therapeutic targets in hematologic malignancies. Candidates having interests in cancer biology and immunology with hands-on experience in working with hematopoietic cells and handling animals are encouraged to apply. Candidates with at least one first-author paper will be given more priority.

Key Responsibilities include:

Plan, design, and execute experiments independently and in collaboration with lab members.

Generate data, present, and discuss results with lab members and at department meetings.

Communicate results through posters and/or oral presentations at national meetings and manuscripts for publication.

Develop new techniques/protocols and help other lab projects.

Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:

A Ph.D. degree in life or biomedical sciences, or a related discipline is required.

Preferred education, experience, and skills for consideration:

Experience in CRISPR, lentiviral transduction, culturing of human T cells and NK cells, flow cytometry, and mouse experiments is preferred.

Salary / Pay Rate Information:

Pay Rate: $31.00 - $34.23 / hour

The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
