新加坡科技设计大学(生物制造/生物打印)研究助理/博士后研究员职位

RESEARCH ASSISTANT / POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHER (BIOFABRICATION / BIOPRINTING)

Job Description

Research Assistant / Postdoctoral Researcher (Biofabrication /Bioprinting)

Job no: 494519 Work type: Contract, full-time Location: Singapore Categories: Bachelor Degree, Masters, PhD, Engineering Product Development, Engineering - Others, Others

Job Title:

Research Assistant / Postdoctoral Researcher (Biofabrication / Bioprinting)

Scope of the Research:

This research program intends to develop design principles, fabrication methods, and instruments to pattern cell-laden hydrogels in 2D and 3D using 3D printing. The created structures are used to design and control cellular interfaces. We combine additive manufacturing, microfluidics, and in situ physio-chemical reactions to achieve unprecedented control over multi-cellular structures to facilitate their growth and function.

We adopt interdisciplinary approaches to investigate unexplored dimensions of bioprinting. Examples include but not limited to:

To fabricate well-defined micro and nanostructures

To fabricate hierarchical structures with well-defined inner morphologies of the scaffold

To investigate the relationship between structures, functions, and cell growth

To develop methods/instruments of additive manufacturing applicable for cell-laden inks

To automate the process of complex fabrication

To develop bioprinting instruments intended for use in a specific requirement

The researcher will work in an interdisciplinary research team consisting of electrical, chemical, and biomedical engineers, chemists, and materials scientists. The researcher also works with oversea collaborators.

Qualification, Skills, Experiences:

M.S./B.S. (for a research assistant) or Ph.D. (for a postdoctoral researcher) in chemistry, biology, bioengineering, polymer engineering, materials sciences and/or related fields.

Must have experiences in cell culture

Experiences in microfluidics, microfabrication

Experiences in the design and manufacturing of scientific instruments

Experiences in digital fabrication, CAD, and 3D drawing and modeling

Good track record of scientific publications

Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
