Description

We are seeking a highly talented and motivated postdoctoral fellow with a PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field to join our team and conduct revolutionary research in the development of next-generation personalized x-ray imaging platforms for healthcare. The successful candidate will have expertise in micro- and nano-fabrication, device fabrication, and optical and electrical characterizations.

In this role, you will work in a transdisciplinary environment to create new  concepts for x-ray scintillating platforms, identify and utilize the most suitable nanomaterials, fabricate and characterize individual components, and integrate the completed devices into commercially available x-ray imaging systems.

Qualifications

PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field

Expertise in microfabrication and device characterization (electrical, optical, and mechanical)

Experience working in a cleanroom environment

Strong publication record and critical thinking skills

Ability to work independently as well as part of a transdisciplinary team

Ability to work under the direction of senior advisors from various disciplines

Experience developing methods to produce scintillating screens with high spatial resolutions and brightness

Experience conducting research on the development of direct or indirect scintillating detectors

Experience with the integration of x-ray scintillating imaging platforms into commercially available systems

Experience with the optical characterization of nanomaterials, scintillating films, and devices
